SFF-8643 is a 36-pin high-density MINI SAS connector that uses a plastic body interface commonly used for internal connections. It is mainly used to implement HD SAS internal interconnect solutions. A typical application is an internal SAS link between a SAS HBA and a SAS drive subsystem. SFF-8643 complies with the SAS3.0 specification and supports 12Gbps data transmission protocol.
